BAILS (operated by Sathishraj S) respects your right to control your personal data. This page explains what data we hold, how to request its deletion, and what happens after you make that request. This policy applies to data collected through bails.in and any associated Meta (Facebook) login integrations.
If you signed in via Facebook: your Facebook name, profile picture, and email as shared by Meta
Option 1 — Delete from the App
You can delete your account directly from within the BAILS app. This is the fastest method and triggers immediate deletion.
1Open the BAILS app and sign in
2Go to your Profile → Settings
3Scroll to the bottom and tap "Delete Account"
4Confirm the deletion when prompted
Option 2 — Request by Email
If you cannot access the app or prefer to request deletion by email, send a request to our support team with the subject line "Data Deletion Request".
Include in your email
• Your full name as registered on BAILS
• The phone number or email linked to your account
• Your BAILS username (if you have one)
• Whether you want a full account deletion or only specific data removed

What Happens After Your Request
Within 48 hours
We confirm receipt of your deletion request by email.
Within 30 days
Your account, profile, messages, and personal data are permanently deleted from our active systems.
Up to 90 days
Residual copies may remain in encrypted backups before they are overwritten and purged.
Data We May Retain After Deletion
Some data may be retained after deletion where required by law or for legitimate business purposes:
•Transaction records — payment amounts and booking timestamps are retained for up to 7 years to comply with Indian tax and financial regulations (GST Act).
•Fraud prevention — if your account was flagged for fraud or policy violations, anonymised records may be retained to prevent re-registration.
•Aggregated analytics — anonymised, non-identifiable usage statistics that cannot be linked back to you.
Facebook / Meta Login Data
If you connected your BAILS account using Facebook Login, Meta shares limited data with us (name, profile photo, email) at the time of sign-in. This data is stored as part of your BAILS account profile.
Requesting deletion of your BAILS account through either method above will also delete this Facebook-sourced data from our systems. To additionally revoke BAILS' access to your Facebook account, go to: Facebook → Settings & Privacy → Settings → Security and Login → Apps and Websites → Remove BAILS
